Literary Associations and Organizations

Literature, its creation, and its study have been the interest of mankind since the first words were written. Writers have long expressed the ideas of their eras, providing a better commentary than the historians that meticulously pore over the details of governments, armies, and great men and women. But the writer, with his mighty pen in hand, eloquently expresses the feelings and thoughts of the unknown masses, be they rich or poor, man or woman, slave or free man. With great enthusiasm, a great number of organizations embrace and promote whatever form of literature most delights their members or conforms with their charters.
