Dee PowerDee Power was born on the East Coast and grew up on the West Coast. She holds a Master of Business Administration. She started her writing career in the second grade by writing a Thanksgiving Day play which debuted before many appreciative parents. Dee has been engaged to do consulting projects for a myriad of different companies, and realizes now that her management consulting career is over her brain is filled with data about almost every industry. Her previous clients have a tendency to pop up as characters in her novels and screenplays, their identity changed just enough to avoid litigation. But they know who they are.Dee has been interviewed as an expert on the publishing industry from the author’s point of view by The New York Times, Washington Post, the Associated Press and various local publications. Accomplishments Their current nonfiction book is The Making of a Bestseller: Success Stories from Authors and the Editors, Agents and Booksellers Behind Them, Dearborn Trade, 2005. They have established www.BrianHillAndDeePower.com for readers to get to know them as authors and to help promote The Making of a Bestseller as well as future books. They distribute a free monthly electronic newsletter, Words for Writers and Readers. They write a column for myshelf.com, Behind the Fiction. Dee and Brian have interviewed on numerous radio stations and have appeared on several television broadcasts.
