Philip SpiresBSC Chemical EngineeringPGCE in maths teaching MA in Education PhD in Development Policy and Practice Worked in Secondary education in Kenya (2 years) Secondary schools and colleges in UK (16 years) Technical education in Brunei (6.5 years) Higher education in United Arab Emirates (3 years) and now run a small tourism business near Benidorm in Spain and also doing some writing. I have two published novels, Mission and A Fool´s Knot, both African novels, set in rural Kenya Interests and Hobbies: Music is my main interest and my wife and I manage to attend a concert every few days. It is one of the best kept travel secrets that Spain's Costa Blanca is a wonderful place to visit for a cultural holiday. In an average week, there would be three or four quality musical events within half an hour of Benidorm, plus opera, theatre and visual art events. I intend to write reviews of such events.
