Nancy Andrews

After spending four years of a near twenty-year Finance career as Vice President of Finance at a global software company, I wanted a fresh challenge. I re-focused my career to pursue my long term personal interest, Health and Fitness. I then founded Accelerate Nutrition, Inc. with my husband. I am president and Chief Operating Officer of our health firm. Accelerate Nutrition is focused at increasing health awareness on diet and fitness issues. Our website provides substantial information on how to develop a diet and/or fitness program that works to meet your individual goals. The company also provides nutritional supplements.

Interests and Hobbies:
I am passionate about health and fitness. I run 3-4 times a week and enter several 10K’s a year which I usually finish within 50 minutes. I am a huge believer in the many benefits of weightlifting for women and lift weights 2- 3 times a week. I had been a runner in college and had tried to keep fit through the years by running, walking and doing aerobics. However, when I hit my late 30’s, perimenopause caused me to gain 20 – 25 lbs of pure fat. This was on top of the slow weight I had gained over the prior 15 years. I decided to rededicate myself to learning everything I could about health and fitness and by changing my diet and including weightlifting in my workout schedule, lost 30 lbs of fat. A year ago I completed a triathlon (very challenging). When I’m not working or working out, I also am very interested in gardening. I keep a large perennial garden which keeps me very busy during the Spring and Summer.
