The CLU designation is like the CPA designation in accounting and is the equivalent of obtaining a Masters Degree in insurance. Instruction includes courses in economics, accounting, finance, pension planning, social security, life insurance law, trusts and estates, federal income tax law, business insurance and estate planning.
