Melinda PowelsonMy professional background includes experience as a journalist and author. In 1992, I co-authored The Recycler's Manual for Business, Industry and Government, published by Van Nostrand Reinhold. I have been a staff reporter for The Port Townsend Leader, The San Diego Reader, and an editorial assistant at The Tacoma News Tribune. Since 1997, when I my son, Alex, I have been a freelance writer. I have written articles for several local papers and websites on topics including working women, small business, environmental issues, and most recently on privacy legislation.
