Andrew Leedham
Andrew Leedham is a freelance writer. Andrew spent the first five years of his working life working in the City, London's financial centre. After having success writing and publishing work for financial and business publications, he decided to pursue a writing career focusing on matters closer to his heart – politics and society.Born in 1974 in Cambridgeshire, Andrew spent his childhood in Australia. He graduated from the University of Sheffield in 1997. He lives in West Hampstead, London.
Interests and Hobbies:
My core belief is that to have a truly free society we must assert the general public good against the private good. This is, in my view, the only basis for ensuring both the greatest good for the greatest number of people and that the most powerful in society do not oppress the weakest. My interests, both within and beyond my writing, reflect this belief. I am a keen supporter of environmental groups and (many unfashionable) causes that will hopefully help deliver greater social justice. If you were to ask me what the point of my writing is, I would reply that it's to limit the freedom of those powerful few, in order to create a freer world for all.
