Allen TaylorAllen Taylor has been writing poetry for 20 years. He spent all of 2005 in Iraq as a National Guard officer serving as a battalion battle captain. Before deploying for an 18-month tour of duty he was a newspaper editor in Texas. He now serves as operations officer for an online content provider, manages over 30 client blogs, and is an Internet marketing consultant. He is also revising a book of poems he wrote while in Iraq.Interests and Hobbies: Allen Taylor is a published poet and enjoys reading great literature and political philosophy. A self-styled libertarian, he laments the continual decline in personal liberties in the United States. His heroes include Patrick Henry, Thomas Paine, Thomas Jefferson and Benjamin Franklin.
