Gerard Escaler

Gerard is Managing Director of Catalyst Innovation Group. He focuses on developing the company's vision and strategy, acquiring new clients and developing talent. A Chief Marketing Officer with a fourteen-year track record, Gerard's experience includes marketing investment, growth strategy, competitive strategy, brand strategy, media relations, integrated marketing communications, client relationship management, advertising, event and sponsorship planning and marketing research development.

Gerard recently served as the Head of Financial Services Marketing for a global professional services firm, advising on marketing strategy and process improvements for its investment banking and private equity clients. He also played a key role in KPMG LLP's Northeast Marketing division, where he led marketing initiatives in the Information, Communications and Entertainment sector resulting in revenues in excess of US$15 million. Previously, Gerard served as National Marketing Manager for Deloitte’s Office of the Chairman where he advised its Global CEO and US Managing Partner on marketing strategy for the top 1% of the firm’s clients. He also collaborated with subject matter experts to create 09/11 Strategic Situation & Tactical Response, a program designed to support clients in recovering from the 2001 terrorist attacks.

Gerard is a two-time recipient of KPMG’s Encore! Award for outstanding client service and achieving extraordinary business results. He was Marketing Advisor for KPMG’s Information Risk Management Steering Committee, Chairman of the Communications Sub-Committee for KPMG’s Asian Pacific Islander Network, a member of KPMG’s Audit Best Practices Steering Group and a member of the Services Marketing Group at the American Marketing Association. While at Deloitte & Touche, he served on the Global Strategic Clients Best Practice Team, Real Estate Thought Leadership Team, and Valuation Practice Ideation & Innovation Team. In addition, he served as Chairman of the Associate Board for the Friends Building Bridges Foundation, a charity for street children in the Philippines. Gerard currently serves as a non-executive director for TrendsFormation Capital, a Hong Kong-based investment company. He is fluent in Spanish and German.
