Martin Soorjoo

Martin is a communication skills coach and Founder of Communication Downloads, a communication training company, based in California and London, that provides coaching. He has been an attorney for more than 15 years and was nominated for National Human Rights Lawyer of the Year in 2004. Martin has been consistently rated by the world’s leading legal directories as a ‘leader in his field’ and acted in many cases that led to positive changes in national and international law. Martin's character was featured in a TV drama 'The Color of Justice' that was based on one of his cases. Martin spent several years building partnerships between the private and Not for Profit sectors, negotiating agreements between Fortune 500 companies, UN agencies and international charities, to fund poverty and environmental projects. During this period he worked alongside senior individuals with global responsibility from the commercial, retail and financial sectors. He also worked closely with the late Robert Davies, founder and CEO of the Prince of Wales’ International Business Leaders Forum (IBLF). In addition to the advocacy skills and experience Martin developed as an attorney, he is a certified Master Practitioner of Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP) and expert in body language and psychology. Throughout his career he has appeared numerous times on television and radio, as well as frequently speaking to large audiences. More recently, he is the author of the Black Book Communication series which is available from his company's website.
