November of 2002 I adopted Betsy from the Maricopa County Animal Shelter. She was a very sick puppy; however, when she recovered she was the busiest black & white dog around. She had a large selection of dog toys but it was evident that she needed more. Because I sold antiques on eBay, I decided to purchase dog toys on eBay. My order took 2 phone calls to rude business owners and over 3 weeks to arrive. I kept thinking that dog toys are fun and a dog toy business would be a happy business. In February 2003, I changed BestFriends General Store from an online antique business to a dog toy store.Since that time, my life has been devoted to Betsy, and her canine brother Norman, and learning about dog and dog toys. My husband and I actually work for Betsy and Norman -- they own the business. I attend several Companion Animal Trade Shows a year and read Trade Magazines and Journals so that I can keep up the latest trends in the dog toy world.
Interests and Hobbies:
I spend most of my time running BestFriends General Store. However, I always make time for Betsy, Norman, and my husband. In addition, I love to do yard work on our two acres. I also like to take long walks, lead by Betsy and Norman, of course. I also enjoy reading and completing jigsaw puzzles.
