Wayne A. Wright

I am a sixty year-old man that is retired/disabled. For over 25 years I was a professional manger for a mining company in northwest Wyoming until my struggle with lifelong bipolar finally ended my professional career. From my experiences with mental illness, my failed marriage due to it, the joy of having four wonderful children whom in turn have given me nine healthy, vibrant grandchildren, I have become, and I am, a great observer upon the human condition. Gleaning from this experience, I have two books on my personal experiences with bipolar being published, my first An Odyssey In Hell about my experiences in the Wyoming State Hospital in 2002, and A Broken Existence, The Journey of a Bipolar, that is an autobiography with the hope and intention of educating both those that suffer and those that care for and/or live with those afflicted with bipolar.

Interests and Hobbies:
My hobbies include writing, of course. I also am an accomplished artist having done many landscapes over the years, including three small murals at the Wyoming State Retirement Center in which in I reside due to my illness. I sing and play the guitar and read to the tiny tots at the Kiddie Kamp here.
I enjoy reading, but find myself strapped for time between writing, painting and my love of the internet, how else would I have found you? I watch little TV except for old classics on TCM and Cops (I was a volunteer fireman/EMT for 25 years). I spend a few hours each night in bed with my laptop tuned in on hulu or CBS Classics watching old reruns of Picket Fences or Alfred Hitchcock or Perry Mason. I have a great love for and appreciation of music: light classics, old country, and, of course, the great sound I was fortunate to have grown up with in the Sixties. The twang of the Ventures, harmony of the Beach Boys and genius of the Beatles shall never be forgotten. I was lucky to have lived in such a decade as this country will never experience again.
