Cathy JohnstonMy first career was in nursing. I became and LPN at the age of 19 was a nurse for 20 years. My specialty was Mental Health/ Substance abuse.My second career involves Customer Service working in call center environments, I.e. Comcast, Hewlett-Packard. Interests and Hobbies: Personal hobbies include reading, gardening (flowers), enjoying nature by taking walks in the woods at our nearby wildlife conservation area. I just love observing things in nature--animals, birds--seeing a Bald Eagle for the 1st time was awe inspiring! I also love to go antiquing. I live close to Adamstown, Pa..antique capital of the USA...mind you, I do not have the type of budget to allow purchases but just looking is great fun. My interests include the above things and, in addition, I have great interest in crime, law enforcement, detective type stuff. I fancy myself an amateur sleuth and love a good ???. I continue to be very interested in the areas of mental health and substance abuse. I love music an love discovering a band that is new to me and finding them awesome. My 19 year old son has enlightened me to some top notch bands. Intellectual pursuits...I am curious about many things and if something catches my attention I will delve into it and research it and become knowledgeable. I keep a dictionary and an atlas by my living room chair because if I hear a word I'm not familiar with I immediately look it up. Likewise, if I hear about an area of the world (either in the news or on a travel show, etc) I love to find it in my awesome Atlas and just read up on it. It is true, You learn something new every day...especially if keep your mind open and love learning new things! |
