I have always had an interest and a flair for writing and am now using my writing skills to remind people of the importance of family, love and appreciating the simple things in life. I have published two books: Grandmother's Cookbook and Simple Pleasures. My articles will be based on stories and ideas which stem from my books. The articles stemming from Grandmother's Cookbook will almost alway include one or two recipes. Grandmother's Cookbook is the best thing I have ever done in my life! Not only did it bond my grandmother, Elizabeth Rose von Hohen, and I forever, but it was such a fun, challenging and rewarding experience. The cookbook is so much more than just a cookbook. It is a part of my grandmother, part of me and a slice of our family history. People love this cookbook not only for its delicious recipes but for its warmth and nostalgia. Reviewers and cooks from all walks of life seem to agree Grandmother's Cookbook takes them back to their treasured memories of their own grandmothers. How rewarding it is that we have created something which has the ability to move people so deeply! I feel very lucky to have the recipes and memories preserved in Grandmother's Cookbook and equally happy to share them with the world. My grandmother was excited about sharing our cookbook with the world! Simple Pleasures is a small gift book which comes complete with a gift card and mailing envelope. As a watercolor artist, I illustrated this book with all of my favorite things in nature: whales, dolphins, sandcastles, beaches, rainbows, flowers and even the moon and the stars! Its theme is the appreciation of nature and the simple things in life including an environmental message.Interests and Hobbies: I love to cook, bake, garden and decorate my home. I enjoy reading, crocheting, taking long walks, yoga, dancing and exercising in general. I'd have to say gardening is one of my favorite hobbies. It is a simple pleasure which brings many rewards. My passion for life is sparked by my love of nature and especially marine mammals such as dolphins and whales. Taking long walks on a beautiful, sunny beach is one of my favorite things to do in life. I love the ocean! It is filled with mystery, wonder and romance! |
