Ieuan Dolby

Ieuan Dolby is an Engineering Seafarer of twenty years having sailed the world non-stop on a variety of vessels, some rust buckets, some state of the art and polished bath tubs, but always to the four corners of the globe. In that twenty years he has risen from Cadet to Chief Engineer, obtained a Degree in Marine Engineering, lived on an island (smaller than some of the ships sailed on) for two years and gotten himself into and out of more trouble than he can remember. From Scotland, he is married and with one son and living in Edinburgh. Between trips away he writes articles and stories of the life experienced, the cultures that he has seen and the people that have more than confused him.

Interests and Hobbies:
Ach, my work is my hobby! Sad but true! I am a seafarer, working on-board for six months of the year. For the other six months I write about the life, I organise the photographs of the life that I have snapped and I communicate with seafarers and swap yarns and I work on my mostly seafaring website of http://www.seadolby.com

But all is not lost! I am currently a keen cook, having only marginally progressed from baked beans on toast to scrambled eggs, and I am attempting to learn Mandarin! I am also an experienced diaper changer, more by necessity than eagerness but I make up for this unwanted skill by having a beer ot two (with some old seafaring buddies of course).
