Nick VialeNicholas Viale explains that real estate was in his blood: While a young man on the French Rivera, his father was developing real estate projects and his mother was a real estate broker. So, Viale knew to begin his own real estate career right there in his home country. For over 12 years he sold and developed big projects in the South of France, before moving to Costa Rica in 1995, where he fell in love with Tamarindo’s stunning natural beauty.By 1996, he had moved all his operations to Costa Rica, and three years later, made the critical decision to enjoin his office with Century 21 Costa Rica. Since that time, his company CENTURY 21 Coastal Estates—whose headquarters are based on Tamarindo’s main boulevard but now boasts several offices along Costa Rica’s Pacific coast—has been one of the top producing franchises for his newly adopted country of Costa Rica, as well as the Central American region. Viale himself has served as President of the Costa Rican Global Association of Realtors (CRGAR) from 2004-05. One of his highest achievements during that time was the signing of a partnership in 2004 between the United States-based National Association of Realtors® (NAR) and the International Consortium of Real Estate Associations (ICREA) in order to agree on a common code of ethics, one that would develop and promote a global multi-listing-system (or MLS) that would raise the standards of the real estate industry. Nicholas’ CENTURY 21 Coastal Estates serves the Northern and Central Pacific coast including Playa Tamarindo, Playa Langosta, Playa Grande, Playa Avellanas, Playa Conchal, Playa Flamingo, Jaco, Herradura, and other well-known vacation destinations. He is still a member of CRGAR® and of NAR®, as is his staff. CENTURY 21 Coastal Estates, is specialized in the second homes market and beach properties—including houses, condominiums, gated communities—putting into practice his 12 years of Costa Rican real estate experience the understanding that when investing in this tropical paradise, high-end buyers desire homes that blend the finest amenities with comfort and a casual lifestyle. Viale’s commitment to community has been a priority since he immersed himself into the Costa Rican lifestyle all those years ago. He was the Vice President of Tamarindo’s Chamber of Commerce from 2002-03, before becoming Fiscal of Tamarindo’s Pro Mejoras in 2003-04, an organization of townspeople formed to make the area better by improving the roads, security, parks, and more. Interests and Hobbies: When not working and running Century 21 COASTAL ESTATES, or taking care of his local responsibilities, Nicholas can be found with his wife native from San Diego, Ca. and their two daughters, either at home in nearby Playa Langosta, or on that town’s beautiful beach at sunset.
