![]() Dominic AmbroseI am passionate about languages and communication. I have degrees from Hunter College, New York City, in Romance Languages, and Teaching English. I also have a diploma from the University of Trieste, Italy, in translation. I have been a language teacher and teacher trainer in the U.S. and elsewhere for 20 years, teaching at all levels from middle school to community college and adult education. Now I live in Paris and work as a text editor, devoting myself to writing and photography. In my work editing film scripts I get the opportunity to meet people involved in the experimental film industry in Paris. Besides this, my novel, The Shriek and the Rattle of Trains, has just been published in 2007, and I am working on a second novel.Interests and Hobbies: I have traveled a lot over the years, and have lived in Romania, Italy and Germany besides my native New York City. I enjoy writing about linguistics, cultural discovery, the arts and current events. I am also a writer of fiction and screenplays. At present, I take my inspiration in the great French metropolis.
