Ice: Application of ice on the affected area is the simplest form of treatment for the zits. It will have a soothing effect on the painful zits on lip. With regular application, the redness and the inflammation will go down in no time.
Honey and Cinnamon: The anti bacterial properties of these two components are highly effective on the zits. Mix honey, cinnamon and some wheat germ to prepare a mask and apply it over the affected area. It should be applied at night and you should allow it to sit over the acne overnight. Next morning wash it off with lukewarm water.
Garlic: Garlic can be taken orally as well as applied topically. If you rub a raw garlic on a small zit on lip, it can prevent further aggravation. Oral intake of garlic helps in purification of the blood stream and thus, keep outbreak of zit at bay. Take three cloves of garlic once everyday for a month for this purpose.
Mint Juice: This can heal up the acne when used regularly. Prepare a thick paste by mixing mint juice and turmeric. Then wash your face with a mild soap and water. Now, apply the paste on the affected area before retiring for the day. Next morning wash off with cold water.
Keep the Area Clean: This is a challenging task because every time you eat something, food particles are likely to get stuck on it. Remove all the food particles from it by gently rubbing a wet tissue. Do not even apply pressure on the region around the lip as it can spread the bacteria to other pores.
