Zero Gravity Massage Chair Recliners

The zero gravity position is beig offered in a range of furniture to relax the back. Massage chairs have added this feature to the list of ergonomic and therapeutic options.
We are starting to see the term zero gravity be used in many different front lines. Massage chairs now have incorporated a zero gravity position. The zero gravity position adjusts the chair to better support the human body. The original zero gravity position was developed by NASA. It was used for launching astronauts in rockets. Now, massage chairs are starting to integrate the zero gravity position.

The origins of the zero gravity position come from NASA. They were looking for a way to minimize the stresses on the body during the launch of a rocket. The astronauts are known to pull many times the force of gravity during takeoff.

NASA found through many trials and errors that the best position for an astronaut was to have them recline fully on their backs. Additionally, they found that by raising the lower legs above the heart they were better able to withstand more fours. This position was termed the zero gravity position.

Massage chairs have now incorporated zero gravity positions as standard features. Massage chairs are not going to help you get to the moon anytime soon, but they will help you relax.

The zero gravity position as it refers to furniture is meant to minimize the weight of the body on the spine. It uses a reclined position to spread the weight of the body over the surface of the back. This helps to reduce the pressure on the spine and rib cage.

Many massage chair companies have developed zero gravity positions. They utilize automatic controls which automatically put the sitter and the zero gravity position. This avoids having to make a number of adjustments to find a true zero gravity position.

One of the more popular zero gravity massage chairs is made by Sanyo. This is the DR 7700 massage chair. Sanyo has developed the DR 7700 massage chair with two different zero gravity positions. This enables the user to have a choice of different positions to find the most comfortable.

The zero gravity position may involve more than just reclining the back rest. Some chairs simply recline the back rest and raise the leg rest. Others also move the seat which helps to ergonomically better support the body.

We are starting to see a number of different furniture manufacturers produce zero gravity massage chairs. They come in any array of styles and prices. Each has its own different set of features and functions which are to attain the zero gravity position.

Some people routinely elevate their arms or legs to help reduce swelling. Of course, you can get this feature and some massage chairs but perhaps not all of them meet this. If not, you can achieve the same thing by putting a pillow under your legs in the recline position.

It is great to see that massage chair companies are incorporating more ergonomic features into their chairs. The zero gravity position is a nice feature for people with back pain. This helps to better alleviate the weight concentrating on particular places in the spine.

Some massage chair manufacturers elevate the legs higher than the heart with the leg rest. This has the additional benefit of helping to reduce swelling and promote better blood circulation. Not every massage chair has this position. So check them out to make sure they have the types of zero gravity position features you wish.
