Your Voodoo Doll
Don't know how to describe it read for yourself and find out. Comment please x.
You whisper to me softly,
So quiet I can barely hear,
The pain inside me rings again,
It is drawing ever near.
Your sing your gentle lullaby,
Enticing me with your call,
You lead me to the edge of life,
So high I'm afraid to fall.
You've become my living nightmare,
You are the darkness that blocks the light,
Maybe that explains,
Why I lie awake at night.
I am on the cliff edge,
Staring down at the sand,
Why am I forced to live here?
In this crippled land.
You seem to be inside me,
Thumping in my head,
Writing out my future,
Making me wish I was dead.
I've had enough of your torture,
So I decide to sleep,
I thought you'd gone away,
Yet in my dreams you creep.
You cloak me in the darkness,
You block out all the light,
Right at that moment,
I wish I didn't sleep that night.
I've now become your doll,
Tearing at the seams,
For during that night,
I had died in my dreams.
So quiet I can barely hear,
The pain inside me rings again,
It is drawing ever near.
