Your First Year In Network Marketing
The first year in network marketing both on and offline
If you intend to start a home based business, it is imperative that you implement a new mind set. You have to reconstruct your thought patterns when you start off in network marketing. Be realistic about your goals and more importantly be focused and consistent.
All of our lives we have had the self discipline to wake up in the morning, fight off traffic, and work to the best of our abilities for an employer. So why is it that when we attempt to go into business as CEO of John/Jane Doe Inc. do we expect to not adopt the same routine?
If you think you’re immune to circumstances that will temp you, to ask yourself, have I made a mistake; then you’re in the minority. The first few months are critical as you start to settle into your role as an entrepreneur. It is important to stay focused on continuously moving forward, constantly advancing your business. Even if all you have time for is a few extra dollars for advertising. Write an article, participate in a forum, do some ppc, so long as you do something consistently over time. Make sure that you tracking your return on investment in all areas of your marketing.
Don’t be sidetracked by people advertising their latest and greatest email blaster 2,000 or their make a million in a minute. I am not saying not to do a little research into software; there are plenty of excellent programs that can increase your productivity. However, try not to let your eyes wander to far from reaching you own goals; otherwise you will just hop from company to company.
Adopt a set of new thoughts that focus’s your mind on achieving a designated result. Thoughts will determine your attitudes and over time, attitudes will become lifestyles. Even the good book says "Be not conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind." I don’t suggest that you wake up and attempt to become a changed man/woman, start small and don’t expect to become an overnight success. Trying to go out and convince the world that it is a better place because of you and your company will only get you frustrated and defeated. Rome was built one brick at a time. If you commit yourself to working your business everyday, backed by a set of values that fine tunes your focus, you will see results.
Implement a marketing strategy that will deliver your message to your target market. There are many ways offline and online to promote your business.
Finally asses your progress after your first year, ask yourself a few vital questions. Am I happy with my company, and with what I am doing? Am I seeing profitable results? Am I spending significantly more then I am making? If you can honestly say to yourself that you have put your heart and energy into your business, and are not happy with the result you are seeing. You should take a look at your current business affiliation. Don’t be defeated; think of all the experience you have gained in a year. You are now equipped to handle the ups and downs of this industry. Armed with your new insight and experience, you can adapt all that you have learned to a new venture. Your future success may only be a click away from you.
