Your Escape
My 148th poem. Not too bad but I can’t think of an ending.
The words are written on the wall.
What can you do to end it all?
When the pain shows on your wrists
All you want to do is give in and escape all of this.
When the end is here and you're alone,
There’s no one you can tell, no one that can help.
Is it better to think "this is it",
That you won’t make it through the fall?
But what can you do?
Step up to the edge, take one last bow;
The pain you cannot help.
Scream your final attempt to be heard.
Your tears shred this life with every word from your past,
Of everything that made you hurt.
What can you do?
When you're alone nothing in this world matters,
Trying isn't a problem any longer.
The problem is knowing if you'll make it any further.
What can you do to end it all?
When the pain shows on your wrists
All you want to do is give in and escape all of this.
When the end is here and you're alone,
There’s no one you can tell, no one that can help.
Is it better to think "this is it",
That you won’t make it through the fall?
But what can you do?
Step up to the edge, take one last bow;
