You Think You Understand?

We never fully understand what we fight for. Death or Peace? What are we striving for in war?
Hate. Pain. Rage. Die. Shoot. Shoot. Shoot. Bang. Boom. BAM. Still moving. Never hesitating. Hesitating means death. Reload. Fire. Look for cover. Crouch, run, jog, fire a little. Yell for backup. Two people arrive to your left and nod. Two people on your right, one injured they all nod. They are ready. If you're not ready you're dead. That's the simple thing about this war. Hesitation=Death. Believe me I've seen enough death. I've seen a soldier's head being blown to pieces. I've seen every sort of death you could see. You wouldn't believe what death does to you. It makes you aware. It makes you depressed. It makes you feel that every fucking minute you're alive is worth it. It makes you think about your family; and it sure as hell makes you think about god. You think god starts to hate what you do. But sooner or later you're not doing it for the fuck ass government and sure as hell not the press. You're doing it to fight for life. The one thing god gifted you personally. Signal to go? GO..GO..GO! NO HESITATION! SHOOT.. SHOOT.. SHOOT! Shit, hit to the left leg. Limp to cover. MEDIC! Shit, no medic; pressure.. pressure. Don't think about dying. Think about your family dammit; you see her face don't you? You see angel's baby eyes looking up at you. Think of your wife holding your angel in her arms. That's your motivation to live that's it! LIVE.. LIVE.. LIVE! Thank god a medic has arrived. You're alive but only for another day in this place on earth that could be considered hell.
