You Loved Me Too

Poem I wrote about my guy...
Can I hold your hand?
Hug you tight?
Call you mine?
When you go, put up a fight?

Will you tell me I'm the one?
Say I love you?
Hold me like it’s my last day breathing?
Walk to that alter and say "I do"?

These are the questions
Running through my mind
When I look you in the eyes
And see their sparkling shine

Should I move closer?
Grab you face??
I don't know anymore
For now it’s just you and me spinning in space

And now as I glance back up into your eyes
All the questions stop, for I see an answer
They say I love you
And I know it true

So I lean over and whisper
I love you in your ear
And the next thing that you do
Is whisper back...I love you too

The night is now still
Just me and you
We may not last forever
But now all always know...you loved me too
