Old age itself isn’t to blame for a man’s inability to get an erection. Our modern lifestyles - for example, smoking, drinking, eating fatty foods, sitting in a chair with a remote control as we refuse to even get up long enough to change the channel on the television - can all be contributing factors to the development of ED among men 40 and older, and sometimes even younger. But before 1998, older couples simply had to relegate themselves to the fact that sex was going to be something they had done when they were young. And there’s no doubt that a man’s inability to perform as he got older led to the infidelity of women with younger men, women who needed to feel loved but could no longer get the physical affection they craved from men who couldn’t perform. It was this way from the beginning of time until 1998.
