You Changed Me 7 part. 1

Recap: Fresh tears started streaming down her face she looked up at me with blurry watery eyes and asked me in a voice that was full of sadness and betrayal "Why did you do it, what did I do to you?"

Chapter 7

"Do what" I asked confused.
"Why did you have to kiss Marc" she cried
When those words escaped her lips it finally dawned on me what she was talking about. She was talking about what had happened a year in a half ago. Just remembering it brought tears to my eyes too.
"Lauren I didn’t kiss him, he kissed me I di—she cut me off.
"Oh yeah right Jordin I saw you kissing him." She shot back heatedly.
"No you didn’t!! You saw only part of what happened." I began. "Just let me explain please?" I asked. She nodded slowly.
"You practically dragged me to that party; I told you I didn’t want to go. But I went anyways because we did everything together. So I went and then after a while you said you were going to talk to some friends. You left me forever, then after a while Marc came over to where I was sitting. I was totally surprised because I didn’t even like Marc, I couldn’t stand him. He started talking to me and it was really all talk about nothing in particular then out of nowhere he leans over and kisses me. That’s when you ran up and saw us. You didn’t even ask any questions. You just yanked me away from him and then you…."I stopped talking tears were streaming down my face rapidly.

"Oh Jordin I am so sorry" Lauren choked.

I went on trying to finish my story. "Then you looked at me with these eyes filled with hatred and you….you…you slapped me twice. You said I was a stupid ugly back-stabbing tramp. After that you looked down at me on the floor and you spit on me!!"I yelled.

"I’m so sorry I really am. I thought that I knew the whole story but I didn’t. I am so sorry Jordin" she held my hand caringly.

I continued with what I had to say "You humiliated me in front of everyone. The whole school knew, they laughed at me. They called me all the names you could think of! I hated you so much I swore to never be your best friend. I didn’t even want to hear your name or look at you! It’s not like we were friends and I could just stop talking to you and avoid you because I was cursed and related to you!" I screamed in her face. Anger was taking full control over me.

I finished up what I had to say "After a while I went up to your stupid now ex boyfriend and asked him why he did it. He laughed and said he did it because one of his buddies had dared him to do it" I said through gritted teeth.

She looked down at the floor tears dropping one by one onto the floor. Drip Drop Drip Drop. She mumbled in a truly sorrowful voice "I…I am so sor—sorry Jordin honestly".

My face softened and I looked at her. She truly was sorry. Tears started busting out of my eyes I walked up closer to her and hugged her.

She hugged me back tightly. "Oh Jordie I missed you so much, playing with you, laughing with you, being with you, I just missed you!" she exclaimed.

"I missed you too Lauren". She just used the name that she sometimes would call me by. My nickname given to me by my big sis. Jordie.

I felt so warm inside. I was so happy. I finally had one of my Best Friends back. It felt like she had been lost on this long journey and she had finally came back to me.
