Chapter 6

Calvin had left later last night…he didn’t want either one of us to get into trouble so he left. I woke up this morning to find a note on my nightstand that said:
About time you woke up!!!
Well I am sorry but I had to leave. I
Couldn’t stand to think that you might
Get into trouble over me.
Well Good Morning Sunshine… you should
come over to my house later,
hope to see you then!!

Truthfully I am very happy that he left last night. Even though we didn’t do anything I still felt guilty. I don’t know what came over me, it’s just once he kissed me I couldn’t help but kiss him back. I couldn’t resist the urge to kiss him.

What is happening to me? I don’t let boys into my room through a window. No boy has ever even been let into my room. Even though there hasn’t even been a boy who wanted to kiss me or come to my room, is besides the point.

I can’t believe I let him in my room. What was I thinking? Right…I wasn’t thinking. I mean I couldn’t when he kissed me all I could do is think of kissing him back. His kiss erased everything except the thought of kissing him back.

Just then my stomach growled. I headed downstairs to get something to eat.
As I was walking into the kitchen I heard a small quiet sound. I stopped walking right outside of the kitchen. Everything was silent for a couple of seconds, and then came that small sound. Where was it coming from?

What was it? It sounded like a whimper…sniffles…more whimpering…more sniffles.
Wait…crying? Did I hear someone crying? Yeah that’s it crying.
I walked into the kitchen and looked around searching for the noise. Where was it coming from? I looked under the sink, under the table, last I looked in the dining room.

Then I saw where the noise was coming from. Sitting there curled up on the floor was Lauren. This was so weird I hadn’t seen my sister cry for like a year in a half. She stopped crying a year in a half ago after the incident happened.

"Are you okay Lauren" I asked softly
She looked up in surprise revealing her puffed up face. Her eyes looked bloodshot and her face looked all red. She looked like she had been crying for hours.
"Does it look like it, leave me alone" she shot me a deadly look.
"What is the matter" I asked ignoring the rude comment.
Fresh tears started streaming down her face she looked up at me with blurry watery eyes and asked me in a voice that was full of sadness and betrayal "Why did you do it, what did I do to you?"
