You Changed Me 2

It had been about a week since I had been to the ice cream shop. I didn’t feel like going back there so I just called up Jamie. She picked her cell up on about the third ring.
"Hey. Jamez" I said when she answered.

"Hey girlie, what’s up with you" she sounded so happy.

"I was just wondering if you wanted you wanted to go to the mall"

"OH DUH! I have been sitting here dying with boredom"

"Oh, okay I will pick you up in five" I hung up the phone.

I went up stairs and decided to get something that looked more like me.

I picked out a hoddie with The Lakers printed on the back. Some athletic green shorts with white Nike shoes on my feet. I went into the bathroom straightened my hair quickly, and decided to put it up in a ponytail. I debated on whether or not to put on some lip gloss. I decided what the heck it wouldn’t hurt any.

I took a good look at myself; I looked like me except for the shiny lips. But they didn’t make me look bad. I walked down stairs to see Lauren heading to the kitchen. But she stopped when she saw me and started laughing.

"What" I asked not really wanting to hear her stupid remark.

"Oh nothing I was just wondering who let a guy in the house" she said laughing even harder, like she had just made the world’s funniest joke.

I pretended to laugh and shot back "Lauren isn’t it about time you go and shave that uni brow". It wasn’t the best remark but it at least it got her to shut up.

"Whatever dork" she said and stomped into the kitchen.

I knew my mom wouldn’t be home until around nine so I had four whole hours to kill.

Jamie and I had just been walking around the mall doing nothing in particular. I had told her about last week and she couldn’t do anything except freak out.

"Oh my gosh! I have to see him and check him out for myself" she shrieked with happiness.

"Yeah, I guess so" I said looking down at her.

"Will you stop doing that, it’s driving me nuts!" she yelled.

"What!" I argued back.

"Looking at me like I am some little ant on the floor" she stopped walking and stared at me.

I laughed "Sorry, I can’t help it if you are short".

"Whatever" she tried to sound mad, but couldn’t stop herself from laughing.

I looked straight up ahead and stopped dead in my tracks. Jamie looked at me confused, "are you okay?" she asked.

"T-t-that’s him" I stuttered.

"What, who?" she was still confused.

"The guy from the ice cream shop" I looked at her worried.

She laughed "Get a grip, I don’t even see him".

"Oh. You will" I said assured.

He was walking with some girl. She had a cute face that looked innocent. She was kind of medium heighted. She had black hair with a light caramel color it didn’t look deep.

Who is that? I wondered.

By the look on his face I could tell that they were both PO-ed at one another.

I guess that he saw me, (wait of course he saw me how could he not see a girl who was 6 foot) because he looked at me waved and quickly walked over with the girl beside him.

When he stepped up I actually had to look up at him because he looked at least like he was 6 foot 5. I hadn’t noticed how tall he was last week.

"Hi, again" he said, Giving me that smile that made my heart stop for a second.

"H-hey" I stuttered.

"So who’s this?"He asked smiling at Jamie. She beamed up at him with her smile.

I thought that Jamie was the little lion and I was the giraffe. But in front of him, Jamie would be the little beetle and him being the giraffe. I wanted to laugh but I managed to keep it in.

"I’m Jamie, Jordin’s best friend".

"Oh, well hey Jamie, I’m Calvin" he shook her hand.

"I know" she replied.

The girl beside him made a noise as if to let us know she was still there. When that didn’t work she nudged Calvin.

He sighed rolled his eyes and said "Oh yeah, and this is my fourteen year old hyena of a sister".

I managed not to laugh. She just rolled her eyes and smiled at me and Jamie.

"Hey she said.

"Hey" we said back.

"Erica this is Jordin, the girl I told you about" he looked at me and gave me that killer smile.

I gasped and looked at his sister.

She busted out laughing. "So this is her".

"Yup" he said.

"Wow you are really tall" she looked at me dragging out the word really.

"Yeah, I know" I looked away.

"I wish I was that tall" she said admiring me.

"Thx" I said. But I was really thinking that if she knew what life was like being me she would hate her height.

We decided to chat for a bit and then Calvin said he had to go. Me and Jamie agreed and headed for the car, which I and Lauren shared.

When I pulled into Jamie’s driveway she finally said "TALK ABOUT CUTE!"

I laughed "I told you but you didn’t believe me" I stated.

"I know I should listen to you more" she laughed.

Then she said something that shocked me "I think he thinks your cute".

"What?" I asked. Now it was my turn to act confused.

"You know what I mean" she rolled her eyes.

"Uh, Obviously not" I said.

"You saw all those smiles he was throwing at you all those cute, sexy smiles. The way he kept admiring your style (not her hair but her clothes style). He looked you up and down too many times to count and you know it" she smiled.

"No way, you just like to play match maker and always think if a guy looks at you he’s admiring you" I said speaking the truth.

"Okay whatever" she opened the car door and got out. She turned and yelled "Bye".

I waved bye and pulled out her driveway, thinking about a million things at once.
