Yonder Dingy Night

Perception is becoming aware of something with the help of our five senses. This poesy is an interpretation of a dark night...
Yonder Dingy Night
Strange things, the strange goings on

At the nook, so dark to the naked eye
A man with a strange looking umbrella
Holding it by the handle
Clump of books ensconced
In the inward curve of his elbow
Juggling to light a cigar
Music...
At every light clicking sound
Disturbed and provoked
At some noesis

A little further, the flight of a crow
Another nook, as dark as night
The owl with glowing eyes
Hooting intermittently
Animals of the night out
A dog slithering into the ebony night
The cat
Tippytoeing
Onto a cranny, then another

Strange things, the strange goings on
Not so, not so

A little further,
Another corner, so dark
The spirit of the night
But shining in the frivolous moon-ray
A polished jewel,
Burnished so brilliant
A little further, a lot more closer
A mirror so bright
Engaging look
The banshie trill
eeeeeaaaaayyyyy
Smothering all else

Not so far away
A dog howling
Broken glass blade
Done its deed
Assailed
A cry so balled over,
Outraged...
aaaarrrghhh
