Yellow Sunshine

A beautiful poem about a girl who loses her mother to cancer.
Yellow Sunshine
The girl gazes at the snowy ground,
Her heart heavy with all she left unsaid.
The tears drip slowly down her face,
As she cries for all she's lost.

A caring smile, a soft embrace,
A mother's loving touch.
A favorite lullaby, sung at night,
The one she loved the most.

And then she sees, amongst the snow,
A tiny, smiling face.
The yellows and golds of the setting sun,
A dainty orange flush.

The daffodil stands, staunch and tall,
A beacon, clear and bright.
Soft golden petals, turned up to the sun,
It giggles, amongst the snow.

The girl looks at the smiling yellow flower,
A star in a world of white.
A ray of hope in her darkest hour,
She looks at the daffodil, and smiles.

HAVE HOPE.
