It is a deciduous and compact shrub and is best planted in mass for a colorful display of blooms. They grow to about 20 inches in height but spread across an area of 4 inches. They require well drained soil and good sunlight for the bushes to grow.

Yellow Azaleas
Yellow azaleas are great flowers to plant in a landscape garden as they bloom quite prolifically. Another advantage is that yellow azaleas are very fragrant and they bloom both in spring and fall. The yellow azalea bush grows to a height of about 7 to 10 foot and the same amount in spread. Therefore it requires quite a bit of pruning to keep the plants in the best condition.

Whitethorn Acacia
Another good yellow flowering bush is the whitethorn acacia that belongs to the pea family. It produces fragrant lime yellow colored flowers that are shaped like a sphere and they bloom from the month of May to August. They grow to a height of 9 to 15 feet and the branches develop thorns.

Yellow Rose
You can also consider planting yellow roses in your garden. Although roses can be difficult to grow and tend for, nevertheless there is nothing to beat the beauty of a rose bloom. Choose from hybrid tea roses that are pale yellow in color and tinged with just a hint of orange at the tips. Some yellow rose varieties that you can choose from are Houston, Midas Touch, Persian yellow and Chicago peace.

The Potentilla Gold Drop also popularly known as buttercup shrub has attractive yellow buttercup flowers that bloom all through summer. It is a deciduous shrub that needs full sunlight along with plenty of water.

Other good yellow flowering bushes for landscaping are yellow hydrangea, barberry emerald carousel, dream catcher bush, yellow oleander, yellow hibiscus and aurea. These can be planted along yellow flowering trees like Chinese flame tree, bougainvillea goldenraintree, Japanese cornel dogwood, goldenchain tree, fragrant wintersweet and Southern witch hazel. All these flowering tree types either have yellow flowers or they have yellow leaves. Landscape designs of gardens with yellow flowering bushes is an excellent way to incorporate these wonderful flowers in your garden.
