Wrinkle Cream Secretly Bought By Men

Wrinkle cream has been predominantly a product marketed and bought by women. However, more men are starting to use it, but are keeping it a secret. This article is going to uncover some reasons why perhaps men wish to hide the fact that they buy wrinkle creams. Maybe men reading the article will change their secret ways.
Wrinkle cream manufacturers report that about twenty percent of their purchases are made by men. However, when asked face to face by a reporter, men admitted to buying wrinkle cream only 5% of the time. This means that there are some reasons why men are embarrassed about or prefer to keep private the fact that they use wrinkle cream. This article is going to take a look at some of the possible reasons why men might not want the world to know that they use wrinkle cream, and how they are holding men back from having the nice skin and complexion that they could have.

The first reason why men might want to keep their wrinkle cream use a secret is that they have imagined that use of beauty products is somehow gay. While gay men may have a higher likelihood to use beauty products, there is certainly no truth to the stigma that by using wrinkle cream or beauty products, a person is gay. The most likely explanation for this concept that men have is that they subconsciously associate beauty with women, and assume that any man who wants to be "beautiful" must secretly desire to be one. The bottom line is that men who think wrinkle cream is "gay" are being silly, and should get over this misconception, and begin taking care of their skin properly. Better skin isn’t gay, it’s just healthy and great for your image and self esteem.

Another reason why men don’t want anyone to know they want to use the best wrinkle cream is that simply, men are less worried about looking older. Clearly, men are less occupied with their looks in general than are their female counterparts. Because this is fairly well known and accepted, any man who DOES care about his looks might feel like he is somehow different than the majority of his brethren. The desire to fit in and not be different from ones peers could very well be a contributing factor to men keeping secret their use of wrinkle cream. Men, listen up… it doesn’t make you different to care for your skin. It makes you healthy and better looking. Set aside this fear and begin to care for your skin and wrinkles properly.

The marketing that wrinkle creams use is almost exclusively focused on women. You almost never see a man in a TV commercial or magazine ad about a wrinkle cream. This is subconsciously teaching men that only a woman would want to treat their skin and use wrinkle cream. It makes it natural, then, that men would want to keep their "dirty little secret" private and not have anyone know that they are breaking the norm that only women use these products. If some of the wrinkle cream manufacturers would change their marketing methods and the images they use, perhaps they would open up an entirely new market. A market of men who purchase wrinkle creams openly.

The reasons we discussed in this article are only a handful of the many that probably drive men to keep their wrinkle cream use private. Hopefully one day, men will begin buying products for their skin more openly. This would lead to a nation of men who look better and suffer from less embarrassment. The truth is that everyone wants to look their best, whether male or female, young or old. If the "silly" reasons we outlined here can be overcome, this author thinks that as much as 50% of the wrinkle creams bought would be purchased by men. Come on, guys. Get over the issues and start taking care of your skin and looking good. You deserve it.
