Would Have Known

If I would have known we would end like this, maybe I wouldn't have stepped in and saved you from that pointless conversation, perhaps I would have cut my music up louder to drown your hello, I would not have shown up to that event that if I would have know I'd get my heart broken, I would have never smelled your hair or gave you that warm embrace, I would not have walked those many miles just to see you after work, I would not have stood in the rain I wish my mind wasn't ready for a change but there is no way of turning back time so now I'm stuck loving you so much more today than I did yesterday, if I had known we would end up this away I just would not have given so much of my soul you can't see the pain or feel the rain that is falling down around me, I know that you think of me for the most part what you see is all pain I placed on you and baby for that I'm truly sorry I can't take it back, that's why I just wish we both would have known things would end up like this so we could have walked away tangled free however I am stuck loving you while you search for another to replace me.
