World's Most Expensive Movie Gets Great Reviews at Premiere

The much hyped movie, Avatar, which is also claimed to be the world's most expensive movie ever, left a select premiere audience spellbound in London...
The 3D flick Avatar, which premiered in London on Thursday, was very well received by the audience, who were amazed at the concept and the quality of the 3D graphics. Claimed to be the most expensive movie ever made, the hype around the movie was hard to miss, and expectations were very high. Also, James Cameron was involved, which just led to an increase in the expectation level. Add to this that Cameron waited almost 12 years to get this right, expectations were very very high indeed. But with these first reviews, it seems that the expenses have been justified, expectations have been met, and we can look forward to another epic from stellar director James Cameron.

James Cameron's last epic was the Titanic, which in 1997 was almost 12 years ago. Titanic, the most expensive at that time, went to do really well at the box office, grossing almost 2 billion dollars worldwide. In addition, it also won a record 11 Oscars, making it one of the most successful movies of all time.

With this brave step into the world of 3D, Cameron has taken a big risk, but it seems to have paid off. The huge expenses involved include the design of a new camera that is much smaller than conventional 3D cameras, thus making filming much easier, and also possible on a larger scale. The camera was invented by Cameron himself.

The idea for the movie had been with Cameron since the time Titanic released, but he never thought of making it before as he felt that the technology had not advanced enough to be able to produce what he wanted. Over the last 12 years, Cameron repeatedly kept the idea for Avatar alive, and finally after 12 years and a successful invention of the camera, he felt that he could give it a shot.

The film was labeled as the most expensive and the most technically ambitious film to be ever made, and it seems that James Cameron has once again struck gold. The film got a standing ovation at the end and was a hot topic outside the theater as well.

In the movie, military forces from Earth invade a fictional planet, Pandora. According to members of the audience, the depiction of the fictional planet and their inhabitants was masterful and spellbinding. "It was an absolute marvel and I am left in awe after seeing it", said an audience member, of some of the scenes on the fictional planet.

With comments such as "It's all about the quality of the 3D for me. I'd never seen a 3D film before and this is amazing." and "I thought it was absolutely amazing", the masterful, and immensely talented James Cameron has done it yet again.

Fox, who has invested the purported 300 million dollars that went into the making of the movie, will be happy that first audiences like the movie and will hope that the movie does as well as Titanic, if not better. For people watching a 3D movie for the first time, James Cameron has created absolute magic with Avatar.

Avatar releases to the general public next week, and everyone involved in it hopes that it will be a major hit. Going by the reactions at the premiere, chances are that Avatar will live up to the hype and will amaze movie goers the world over. All said and done, this is one movie you don't wanna miss!
