Worlds Apart - Ch. 6

Serenity woke up at six o'clock in the morning with a big jerk.
Something bad happened last night. Autumn?
She briskly got out of bed, wearing silky pajamas and she turned on the television.
"There was a blazing fire last night down at North Street. Five different fire departments helped with the cause and stopped it at two in the morning. A woman was with a policeman and fainted last night, doctors do not know why or how, but she is in the hospital. In other news..."
Serenity turned off the television and quickly found some clothes. She pulled out her cell phone and called Tonya.
"Why are you calling me this early?" Tonya yawned.
"Can you go to wok for me? I need to go somewhere and don't know when I'll be back."
"Alright. It's none of my business to ask what's going on. I'll be there in an hour."
"Thanks, Tonya. I'm getting you something for this."
"No need. I'm working on my intern."

"Alright, I hope to see you later, bye." Serenity shut the phone off and headed out the door.
She got into her Porshe and drove as fast as possible without the policemen catching her. Serenity passed cars and got through all the traffic lights quickly.
Serenity entered the hospital's parking lot and found a parking space close to the doors. She got out of her car, entered the hospital, and looked for the front desk person. Three minutes of searching, Serenity found a lady doing paperwork.
"Hello. Can you tel me which room Autumn Wagner is in?"
The lady looked up then to her computer screen, "She's in room 472 which is fourth floor. Are you family?"
"Yes. I'm her sister." Serenity quickly said and quickly left to find an elevator.
Serenity found an elevator and pressed the up button. The door automatically opened, and she got in and punched in floor four button.

The elevator seem to be very slow, like hardly moving. Serenity's temper started to rise, then the door opened from floor two. A guy that's tan, green eyes, and thick black hair came in with cartons of juice in his hands.
"Autumn? Why are you out of bed?" he asked.
"I'm not Autumn. I'm Serenity." Serenity declared.
"Man, you must have a concussion. Let me take you to your room."
He press the four button and kept watching Serenity closely. She sighed heavily, waiting until he got the wrong woman.
The door opened and he took her to Autumn's room. With great surprise, the guy saw Autumn laying in bed.
"What? You're Autumn." he said.
"No, I'm Serenity. I have a few lighter shades of hai than her. I think, or actually know, that we're twin sisters."

"Okay. That explains most parts. How did you know Autumn was here?"
"That is easy. When I woke up, something felt off, like hurting. I turned on the television and there was a report on from last night's fire with Autumn's accident. You must be the policeman that was with her."
"Yep. I'm Ashton Genero. I met your sister late last night, a deer hit her side of her car. When I saw her, it's like a love song came to my mind. I met Autumn at the Quad when she was working, but she didn't notice me. So I wanted to get to know her, but this massive fire started and her thing she did. I hope she's alright." Ashton sadly said.
Serenity grabbed his hand and smiled, "Don't worry. She'll be perfectly fine, I know for a fact. She will be getting up in an hour or so. Then you can try to get your chance at her."
Ashton nodded and walked into the room, and Serenity followed. Autumn is snugly under the covers, snoozing away, Ashton eyed Serenity, so she sat down beside the bed.
"Autumn." Serenity whispered and placed her hand on Autumn's. "I'm here for you whenever you wake."

Autumn shrugged, Ashton eyes watched Autumn in disbelief. She turned and slowly got up.
"Huh, my head. Ashton? You stayed." Autumn softly said. "Serenity? Why are you here?"
"Autumn, you are my sister, my twin sister. Our parents died in a car accident and was adopted by two different families. Look at us, we're identical except out hair, which I actually dyed because I didn't like the color."
Autumn looked like she didn't accept the thought. "I don't believe you. My parents didn't die, they live in Hilton. They would never lie to me."
Serenity's heart broke. Autumn didn't believe her, so Serenity got up and headed out the door.
"I know you're my twin sister. I bet you all my money in the bank that you have a birthmark on your right hip." then she left.
Autumn's mouth opened, thinking how Serenity knew about the birthmark. Luck, that has to be it.

Ashton got up and walked over to Autumn and grabbed her hand.
"Autumn, Serenity is right, just look at you two. I thought you were up."
"I have a question. Why are you here? It's obvious that you have work to do." Autumn hoarsely said.
Ashton grabbed a juice carton and handed it to Autumn. "Drink it, you sound dry."
Autumn did what she was told. She opened the carton and drank it.
"Orange juice." Autumn gleefully said.
He nodded and sat down where Serenity was.
"Autumn, you have to be twins. You two are so alike that is the truth. I don't want to see you in the hospital either. The thing is, that the past couple months. I been spying on you when you work. Not like the sick pervert way, like, you're fucking hot way. I been afraid that you hate me."

Autumn looked astounded. "You like me? Someone like you should have girls everywhere. I'm just a hardworking, pushed around person."
"But you have a sense of something that makes me want to be with you. The way you act, the way you move, the way you think." his voice getting softer each word until their lips met. The warmth, passion grows, and they let go.
"Oh, my." Autumn muttered. "That was different."
Aston smiled and kissed her nose. "Yes, I want to check when you can leave and then I need to go to work. I'll see you later."
"Alright." she weakly said and he left. "Ashton is so hot. But is Serenity really my twin sister?" she wondered.
