World Cup 2010: Warmups Continue
As the World Cup 2010 draws closer, the last set of warmup matches around the world are being played.

In a shocker, Mexico exposed a sluggish Italian defense to win 2-1, which will definitely work as a big booster for the Mexicans ahead of the world cup. In fact, defending champions Italy just managed to pull one goal back in the 89th minute of the game. Spain defeated a spirited South Korea 1-0 through a Jesus Navas goal, in a game which gave both teams a thorough workout. The only goal of the match came late in the 85th minute of the game, but the contest was a keen one, something which would have given both teams a lot of hope along with a lot of thinking to do ahead. One of the most liked and most talked about teams of the World Cup 2010, Brazil, played a friendly against Zimbabwe and went on to win 3-0. Former champions Brazil have got into the groove and will be the team to beat in the upcoming tournament. In Germany's last warmup match before the world cup, they former champions beat Bosnia 3-1. Germany were quite sluggish in the first half, and must have had it in the back of their minds that this was their last friendly. Three substitutes of the 2nd half picked up the game for them, and each scored giving the Germans a much-needed win in terms of mindset and strategies. With teams slowly reaching the African continent for the World Cup 2010, a handful of warmup games would complete the friendlies that will be played ahead of the extravaganza.
