Women and Self Esteem: Do You Have a Healthy Body Image?

Having a Healthy Body Image has more to do with what goes on inside your head than outside your body. You might be missing some important pieces of a successful Self Improvement Journey. Let me share 3 Tips to Help you Make Peace with Your Reflection in the mirror.
So, how does a woman feel good about herself when she is in conflict with her reflection in the mirror?

How do you react inside when you see your reflection in a mirror or window? Do you look and smile or look away and think something critical?

It's hard to improve your confidence and self - esteem when you don't feel good about your body. You feel discouraged and that there is something wrong with you because no matter how hard you try, you just don't measure up. And the media is right there to show you what you should look like.

For goodness sakes, there is nothing wrong with you. Your recipe has been missing a few key ingredients is all. Here are 3 Tips to Help You Make Peace With Your Reflection and cultivate a healthy body image.

1. Remember that there is a little girl inside you that cringes every time you talk critically to yourself.

You wouldn't knowingly tell a child that she is fat or ugly or disgusting. Think about the little girl you were when you stand in front of a mirror. If you have been criticizing her for years, you may have some apologizing to do. She may be so beaten down by you that it will take some serious self - loving to make up the ground.

Many women find this to be an important inner work project. It's ok to get help with this.

2. Regardless of how serious your physical condition is, you are not flawed. There is nothing wrong with you. That negative inner talk is wrong.

Wanting to change is a forward moving energy. It's good to want more for yourself. It doesn't matter if you want to lose ten or a hundred pounds, your job is to love your self while you do it.

Your spirit abides and your body is temporary. You can change anytime you want. You just need the right tools. If you have been struggling with making lasting healthy changes, get some appropriate support. Start on the inside, the outside will naturally want to evolve to keep up with your internal health and wellness.

3. Stop talking about what you don't like about your self.

Every time you talk about or focus on what you don't like about your body, you are digging a deeper hole. You are inviting more of what you are talking about into your experience.

The Law of Attraction states that you get what you focus on whether you want it or not. This is one of the hardest challenges. We are conditioned to talk about our problems; it's how we bond. Just try to go a day without doing it. I almost had to tape my mouth shut in the beginning, but it got easier.

Start talking about your health and wellness. Use the Law of Attraction to your benefit.

As you can see, not one of these tips had anything to do with what to eat or how hard to exercise. I didn't mention a scale once. That's because true change starts inside. You already know that. I am here to affirm its truth.

Place your focus on loving your self and your physical will have to catch up... Do your inner work; the outer work will follow...

Caution: I need to add that if you think you are dealing with an actual food addiction, you need to know that there are physiological factors involved. There are indeed food substances that your body may be addicted to and any conventional diet that includes these substances is doomed to fail.

Research food addiction. Find a self-reflective quiz to determine your probability. Email me if you want a suggestion of a website that has been helping thousands of food addicts for years.

Namaste.
