Without a Doubt [Prologue]
At the most unexpected times, love happens. This is my first ever entry and a teaser for my story. Chapter one is coming out soon! :) Please do comment :D and suggest at how I may improve. Thank you!
"Don't go.." He said, pleading with his eyes.
I held back my tears and tried to look composed as I would need a lot of acting to pull this one off.
"YOU ARE NOTHING TO ME. Okay?"
I felt a pang in my chest as I bit out the cold words. I surprised even myself at how convincing I had said it.
With that I started walking away. Away from him so I wouldn't have to explain further. If I did explain I'm afraid I would lose it all and the temptation to tell him everything is killing me.
"But, why?" He dared ask so painfully.
I felt like I've been kicked in the stomach with a giant steel toe boot.
"Because," I sighed in exasperation to hide my shaking voice, "I have had my share of fun, and along the way it just got.. Boring" I lied through my teeth and shrugged as if I said it with such nonchalance. I knew the last thing I said was enough to shut him up.
"I see it now.." His response was no louder than a whisper, but I heard it. It echoed in my brain as I walked to my car.
I dared not look back, for I have I have the memory would have scarred me forever.
