Jesse walked in and looked around the room and the black stone walls.He came and sat on the bench with me, I could feel the warmth of his leg through our jeans. I didn't need to look up to know he was looking down at me while I fidgeted nervously. "Relax Night.." His voice made me do exactly that. "How have you been?"
"Fine.." It came out as a squeek.
"How are you and Than?" he asked when he saw me fidget with my ring.
"Fine."
"Is that the only word I get to hear from you?"
"Sorry.." I used my power to make a flame pop from each finger like little zippos and played with them. I made them change color and sizes..Suddenly Jesse blew them out.
"Will you stop that!" I was startled by him and looked at him with big eyes. "Pay attention to me! Talk to me!" He grabbed my face in his hands. "Can you at least ACT like we use to be something?" I felt tears well up in my eyes.
"Get off me.." I tugged away from him.
"Why?" He whispered.
"I have a boyfriend." I got off the bench and walked across the room.
But Jesse followed. He trapped me against a wall and put a hand on either side of my head. He leaned down close to me. "Listen to me Night. I have been a mess without you..I can't sleep! Drink! Eat! I miss you."
"We don't belong toget-"
"Don't say that!" I saw a tear escape his eye.
"LISTEN TO ME!" My voice boomed with my full power. I pushed Jesse away. "Look at me...I'm WEIRD." I stood farther away. I made my full power rush through my body and I felt my eyes turn Underworld Red. Flames burst from my hands and around my feet and just as soon as I made it happen I sucked it back into me.
I stood there. A broken girl with sad blue eyes. My black hair making a curtain around me as I stared at Zuess' child. "You..you are a child of pure light.." My voice was back to its soft gentle tone. "And me? I'm a child of pitch darkness." Jesse was in front of me again, holding my face in his hands. "Please Jesse..don't do this.." The tears spilled then.
"Shh..Shh Night I'm here.." He wrapped his arms around me and hugged me. I pulled away gently.
"I have to go Jesse. I need to find Than.." Jesse's eyes flamed.
"No! Please..stay with me..you know we're better together." He grabbed my face and went in for a kiss.
"Get your hands...off MY girl..." Than's voice was down..right..scary. I turned to see my boyfriend standing there. His eyes weren't that beautiful ruby color anymore..his demon side was summoned and his eyes were pure obsidian black. Not going to lie..seeing Than all puffed up over me..was hot. His muscles were bulging under his white t-shirt. He motioned for me to come stand by him. I walked quickly to his side, keeping my eyes on Jesse who didn't even look scared. He looked like he was gonna kill Than.
Crappppp.
I grabbed Than's face in my hands. "Than..baby...pay attention hun" His eyes went from looking at Jesse to looking at me..those fully black eyes just gleaming. I stoked his cheek softly. "Than relax..you don't want to hurt anyone right?" Than gave a sarcastic HA! and his eyes shot daggers at Jesse again. "Than! Look at me.." His sight flickered back to me. "sweety I'm here..Relax. Everything is fine."
"No! Everything is not fine!" His voice was booming again.
"Jesse leave..please." I said
"No!"
I turned to him and mouthed "ill talk to you later." He gave a suddle nod and left, Than's eyes following him.
I put my hand on Than's cheek and guided his dark gaze back at me. Softly I gave him an eskimo kiss. "Than baby.." I rubbed my hands on his arms, his muscles were still puffed out defensively, his fists clenched. "Hug me baby.." His eyes seemed to soften a bit and his arms wrapped around my waist. I leaned in and pressed my lips to his gently. When I pulled away Than's eyes faded to their normal ruby color and his body relaxed. He pulled me tighter to him and my arms curled around his neck.
"I'm sorry..I didn't mean to get so angry." He whispered. I nodded. "I just saw his arms around you and.." His eyes began to darken again.
"I'm yours..not his.." I blurted out. His eyes flashed back and his smile exploded. His lips were on mine suddenly and I welcomed it. His cinnamon taste was...addictive. His hands found my bottom and he hoisted me up so he was carrying me, my legs around his waist. He smashed me against a wall and I moaned when he started grinding on me gently. I'd never kissed like this with Than. I definitely wasn't a slut, but some playful rough kissing is so nice once in a while..and it took away the heaviness of what I just said. One hand slid under my shirt and ran up my back while his mouth found my neck and he sank his teeth into me, biting softly. I moaned his name and wrapped my fingers in his dark hair..he pulled back then, a grin on his face.
"That felt so much better when you said that."
"Good." I smiled.
"Fine.." It came out as a squeek.
