Wine And Roses
A short love poem.

I gave you pearls from the deep,
I kissed your lips with passion,
And you returned that kiss to me.
I listened to your heartbeat,
And the rhythm that it made,
And I swear that I heard violins
Playing our serenade.
Beneath a magic beam of moonlight,
Within a whispered breath
Of sweet scented elixir,
That spun around our heads,
We were lost within a moment
Of purity refined,
An elegance so heavenly
It cannot be described.
Soaring on a kiss of wonder,
Our souls did fly away,
On a wind of cosmic energy.
Within a passionate embrace,
And I knew then this was true love,
That it would last forever more,
And that you'll always be the angel
That stole my mortal soul!
