Winding Ways
This is my first poem I've posted on Buzzle. Please comment.
No light
No stars
No moon
No guide
No heart in I can mine confide
The sun to horizon does descend
Alone on a road that has no end
My mind twists and turns in winding ways
Like the twisted paths of a taunting maze
Give all I could to grasp a hand
A hand as gentle as soft white sand
To lift me from my knees, the dirt, dust
And whisper to my soul that hope we must
To carry me to where the earth and sky are one
And feel the warmth of a rising sun
It will come as does fate
Patiently for that hand I do await
No stars
No moon
