Why Xbox is Better than PS3

When it comes to comparing the Microsoft Xbox 360 and the Sony PlayStation 3, there are two sides to the argument and each side has its valid and salient points. Both these consoles are the major players in the video game console market today, and their sales figures are close to 50 million units sold for each of them. The rapid rise in the quality of video games and the ability of these consoles to perform many other multimedia tasks has made them very popular indeed, but since there are just these two to pick from (excluding the Nintendo Wii) the opinion of many people is seriously divided.

Like all other electronic devices, video game consoles also have their fanboys and a group of people who absolutely detest the product as well. When it comes to deciding between the PS3 and the Xbox 360 there are several factors that need to be taken into consideration, because every small detail plays a role.

What Makes Xbox 360 Better than PS3

Though there is a membership fee to be paid to Microsoft for enjoying this purpose, experienced gamers will attest that this arena is far better than that of the PS3 (also known as the PlayStation Network).
3. One of the biggest reasons why people may choose an Xbox 360 is the price. The console comes in many different bundles, but it is definitely cheaper than the PS3. This is a major factor for many potential buyers, and no matter what anyone says, it does make a difference.
4. The new motion sensing platform for the Xbox 360 is known as the Kinect, and this is a revolutionary new technology where you do not need to use a controller at all. A camera, a motion sensor and a voice detector observe your movements and your speech and this allows you to stimulate the game in real time. Hence the You are the controller tagline by Microsoft. Playing games on the Kinect is truly a great and novel experience, while the PS3 Move has simply copied the technology of the Nintendo Wii.

At the end of the day, both of these consoles are very similar to each other in their specs and their performance. For some reason though, the Xbox 360 receives a lot of criticism and flak over the Internet. A lot of people seem to complain about problems with the console, but in my opinion this criticism is unfair. As mentioned before, the PS3 performs certain actions that the Xbox 360 cannot, but this does not mean that the PS3 is without its own faults and errors.

People who love online gaming should definitely go for an Xbox due to the Xbox Live feature. This is the more economical console out of the two, and it also offers you more video game titles to pick from.
