Why Waste Time Pre-selling?

Pre-selling is the skill of nurturing trust with your customer. Pre-selling involves demonstrating your expertise on your product. It also involves empathy for the costumer.
You are focused on making a profit from Internet marketing. Maybe you just need some extra cash to make ends meet maybe it means food on your table.

What does pre-selling have to do with profits?

Let's review some basic marketing. Who do you spend money with? Someone who is friendly and helpful. Someone that gives good advice. Someone who doesn't care if that advice creates any profit. All that matters is does it help you their customer. Or the pushy what's in for me, you have to buy my product sales person. You want to create the feeling of the first one online. Developing that trusting relationship is pre-selling. Pre-selling has little to do with your product or service.

Pre-selling nurtures trust. It establishes your expertise about a product.

Why waste time pre-selling? It will increase your profits in the long run. People purchase from affiliates they trust.

So, how to you pre-sell?Start with your website. Is it neat with white space? Is it comfortable to visit and move around? Do visitors need a site map to navigate?

What does your content communicate? Are you the pushy car salesman? You have to buy this product product from me NOW or else? Are you spending time talking about the problem the product solves? Are you selling a drill or selling the hole that the drill can make? (Hint: Sell the hole, that's the reason for the drill.) Are you honest? Do you walk your talk and use the product? Do you tell your customer how to compensate for your products weakness?

What does it take to get good at pre-selling? Understanding the person who is doing the buying. Having empathy with their situation. Being motivated by helping another not by the money they represent. Then practice writing. Practice writing. Practice communicating
that empathy. A little humor helps too.
