Why is Fate Against Us?

The day we met, was like a fairytale come true
I’d always dreamed of a partner so amazing as you
To start, people frowned as our age gap is wide
But age doesn't matter when there is love inside.
Things were tough and we struggled to begin
But all that mattered was the love that’s within.
Hard times came and went as they do
But you held my hand a told me "we'll get through".
We fight and we fight to keep what we have true
But I’m tired and just want to runaway with you.
Things just get better then 'WHAM', 'tough luck'
Fate piles on another load of bricks and muck.
We pick ourselves up and brush ourselves down
And we say we have love so there’s no need to frown.
