Have you ever encountered people who sleepwalk? Or are you amongst those who actually sleepwalk at night? Our sleep at night goes through various levels known as stages of sleep. Sleepwalking, however, is a sleep disorder. Although sleeping is considered to be the best way to relax, there are many who lose sleep over not being able to sleep! Well, there are many ways to get sleep naturally, however, those who sleepwalk, need to tackle things differently.

Reasons Why People Sleepwalk

Our activities during the day can also affect the way we sleep. Sleepwalking is seen amongst those people who either live a stressful life or have a genetic problem. When a person sleepwalks, he/she carries out regular activities while least being aware of the same. This can happen due to psychological problems, excessive intake of alcohol, emotional problems or even during pregnancy. The duration of sleepwalking may even last for an hour.

Sleepwalkers have some knowledge about their activities only when woken up from that state by some other person. Often, they may not always remember the activities carried out by them during this state. Sleepwalkers are thus least conscious about their actions due to their dream stage. Studies have revealed a sleepwalker may dance, bathe, drive, eat, change clothes, walk in the outdoors and demonstrate many such behavior in the state of sleep. This state can thus cause harm to the sleepwalker as well.
