Why do I Even Try
Thank you for all the supportive comments from the last poem. I'm going through a really hard time right now and I didn't know what else to do.
Why do I even try?
When I know I will just mess up
I won't do exactly what I was told
I will fail at life and the important factors in it.
Why do I even try?
When I constantly set a bad example for my siblings
Don't get the good grades
And treat others worse than they deserve.
Why do I even try?
When I end up crying myself to sleep
Wishing I were someone else
And living in someone else's shadow.
Why do I even try?
Because I have no other choice
I have to go on no matter how much I don't want to.
