Why Did You Leave Me? Chapter 5

-Months Later-

Things with Benny were great, I mean it was going better than I hoped for.

He was over my house, A LOT, but I didn’t mind. I sometimes fell asleep with his arms around my shoulder.

Even though, things between Benny and I were going great, there was still that little part of my heart, that wanted my Ryan back.

-School-

"Hey, love." Benny walked over to me smiling widely. His beautiful eyes all scrunched up.

I grinned and hugged him lightly, but then he pulled me into a kiss. It wasn’t anything like the kisses me and Ryan shared, but it was still nice.

"Hey, not in the hallways!" A teacher walked by, shaking his head.

We both laughed and he took my hand. We walked together to our next class.

As the bell rang, I took my seat next to Ryan. When I sat down, he looked up. He has been ignoring me these past few weeks, so I was surprised when he said hi.

"Oh..Hey. Wait, I thought you were ignoring me." I smiled. I was glad he was talking to me again.

He laughed a little, and answered. "Yeah, but I’m giving up now."

"By the way, why were you ignoring me?" I asked. I really was curious, I mean I haven’t done anything to make him mad. Did I?

He just shook his head and said "Forget about it." When I was about to question him farther, the teacher walked in.

-After School-

I was at home waiting for Benny to get here, when my phone rang. The caller ID read ‘new Ryan’.

"Hello? Ryan?" I answered.

"Yeah it’s me. Hey, I was just wondering, can I come over now real quick? I forgot my text book at home, and I just realized we had homework in it."

"Oh…uh sure. Why not."

"Okay, cool." Then he hung up.

In about ten minutes, someone knocked on the door. I opened it and saw Ryan standing there with his backpack slung over his shoulder.

"Hey! Thanks a lot." He smiled and walked in.

"So where’s the text book? I won’t take too long, don’t worry."

"Oh it’s upstairs in my room. Come on." I led him to my room, kind of feeling awkward.

He put his backpack down on the floor and jumped onto my bed. I got my text book out of my backpack and hand it to him. He finished his homework quickly.

"Thanks again. Mrs.Vanderpool would have killed me if I forgot my
homework again."

I grinned. "No problem, and yeah probably."

Since Benny wasn’t home yet, and I was bored, we just kind of hung around my room and watched TV. I sat next to him on my bed. In between one of the commercials, Ryan pulled me down on top of him suddenly. I was about to ask him what he was doing when his lips crashed on to mine. I tried to get up but his arms were like steel around my waist. My heart was pounding and I don’t know why but I started to kiss him back, and I could feel his smile spreading. At first, it was just a kiss, but then his tongue begged for entrance. I let him in, and he started to explore my mouth. He was gentle with me, and this kiss reminded me so much of my kisses with my old Ryan, unlike Benny’s kisses. As the kiss grew more passionate, his hands started to move from my face to my body. He roamed around my back, and his hand went up my shirt.

When I really realized what I was doing, the door to my room opened. I jumped off of Ryan, and looked to see who it was.

Benny was standing there, looking paralyzed, his mouth hanging open, and I could see hurt in his eyes. He balled his fist.

"Benny…I’m so sorry!! I don’t know what I was thinking. I’m sorry!! Can we please t-" I didn’t finish my sentence because I finally saw what was happening.

Benny was on top of Ryan, punching the life out of Ryan.

"BENNY, STOP!! IT’S NOT HIS FAULT! IT’S MY FAULT! PLEASE STOP!"

When I screamed, Benny really did stop. He got up and I saw tears in his eyes.

"Why, April? Why?" His voice cracked.

I looked down in shame…

"I’m so sorry, Benny." I whispered.

When I looked up again, his tears were gone and there was a cold look on his face.

"No, you’re not." His voice was just as cold.

"Benny…!"

"I don’t think I can trust you anymore, as a girlfriend or as a friend. I don’t ever want to talk to you again."

"Wait, Benny! Don’t do this!!" I screamed reaching for his hand, but I was too late. He turned around and ran out of my room.

I started to cry real hard. I couldn’t believe it. Now I really lost all the people I loved. I cried and cried and fell to the ground.

"I’m so sorry, April…I shouldn’t have…I’m so sorry." It was Ryan.
He wrapped his arm around me and carried me on to my bed.

I managed to say something. "No, I am…It’s all my fault, I should have stopped you. Wait, are you okay? You’re bleeding!"
His nose looked broken, and blood was oozing out of his head.

He gave me a little smile, and shrugged. "I’ll be fine. Look, I’m really sorry about everything! It just…I couldn’t help it. I like you more than you know, April…Bad timing I know…but I know you like Benny so I’ll talk to him tomorrow. Okay? Everything’s gonna be fine."

"No, it’s my fault…" I knew this time that everything wasn’t going to be fine. I couldn’t live without Benny.

I was a slut...I cheated on Benny. I didn't deserve any other guy now. What was happening to me?

Ryan sat next to me, his arm around my shoulder. I leaned my head against him, letting my tears ruin his shirt.

"Fuck love...I'm done." I murmured.

"No, love. Don't give up..." He hugged me tightly and kissed me on my forehead, making me remember the last time Ryan kissed me at the airport...
