Why Can't You See?

Why are you small minded and judge me for whom I love?
You are not my Lord, God from above.
You shouldn't throw that stone at me.
For my love is out and is not locked away with a key.

I have peace in my mind and my heart.
I am not lying no more to me, I am free for a new start.
Love found me, but it's the same body as mine.
We are not told whom to love, we just go with the signs.

Don't toss names at me that hurt.
I am human, not a dying animal bleeding in the dirt.
Names cut deep like a splinter in my veins
Can't you see we bleed red and cry tears all the same

No judging should be thrown here for I am pleased with my soul.
My heart is in love with the same sex and is not cold.
Who's to say what's right and wrong in my life.
Hopefully one day this world will not be cold and filled with ice.

You say it's a disease in my mind and you stay away from me.
I have not harmed no one nor made anyone mad, can't you see?
In your mind, you hate what I am and have become.
It's sad that people's hearts can't be as one.

Don't dislike my soul for whom I choose to lie within bed.
I'd rather love with a true heart then lie to another and have my soul dead.
Afraid as I am, brings sorrow to my soul.
Our spirits are free and our hearts are not filled with blackened Coal.

Believing in my heart, there is no judgment up above in the sky.
Wondering in my mind how can I be made like this and I ask God why.
I pray everyday to my Lord Jesus that bled and died for me on a tree.
Knowing deep down, he did all that for my soul to not be judged and for me to be free.
