Why Aquarium Fish Keeping is Considered the Perfect Hobby
For me, the most exciting moment in my life is to spend my free time with my pet fish. And I can give you endless list of reasons why I said this is so.
Watching your fish swim is indeed fun and exciting and the best part is, it helps you to relax after a stressed out day at work. Although it may sound strange, but to every fish enthusiast, it is a hobby that will never become boring as there is always something new to discover and try out. You can almost sit in front of the aquarium for hours and as the time passes by, the feeling and enthusiasm will still be there and will never fade.
The more you commit yourself looking after them, the more attached you are to your pets and the more you love them. You will grow fond of their actions, their movements, chasing around from one corner to another, feeding on their favorite fish food and you can even name every single fish with funny names based on their appearance.
Fish keeping is also considered a family affair and provide the opportunity for everybody to share the joy and experience. It helps to teach and bring out the sense of responsibility in our inner self and most important part is, fish keeping makes us realize the importance of caring for others and appreciate god’s creation. Between family members, there will always be new topics to discuss about; sharing the thoughts on how we all feel and relate to each other the new things that we saw today happening in the aquarium. Ideas flow and so does laughter.
Fish keeping will also teach us valuable knowledge and help us learn about water chemistry, biology, and mechanical know-how especially with handling pumps and filters. The hobby has played a major role to bring out my interest on different subjects mainly chemistry in which initially; I considered the most dull and boring field of study. Soon after I get involved in fish keeping and finding out that both are actually related to one another, my perception has changed. And because of that, I have started to develop interest in learning more about chemistry so that I can apply towards this exciting hobby.
There are so many things and so many new stuffs to discover and try out, start from setting up your new aquarium, buying your first pet fish, feeding and maintaining the perfect environment, watching them grow and all these will never ever be tiring.
