Who To Choose? Chapter One

Hey guys, this is my first story on Buzzle, so please be gentle with me! I would appreciate any comments you can give me that you think could make my story better! This is a story about a girl that gets caught between two guys and she doesn't know which is right for her! Enjoy =) xo
All my life I'd found myself caught between two people - my parents. After their divorce I was forced to choose who I wanted to live with; it doesn't sound that hard. But when you love your parents so much it's so difficult because picking one meant choosing who's side I was on. I didn't want to choose sides, I wanted it to be equal so in the end I chose to live with my Grandma. My Grandma was a lovely lady, always smiling and making sure I was okay. Sure, this hurt my parents, but I think they understood that living with my Grandmother was what I needed to do. I still saw them often and my life became a lot easier. Until now. Again, I'm stuck between two people - but this time it's not my parents. It's my two best friends: Zac and Evan.

I lived in London with my Grandma and went to Chester Comprehensive school. There I met Zac and Evan and we formed such a close bond that anyone from the outside looking in would think we were family, not just friends. I loved them both so dearly and knew that we would be friends for life. Well, that's what I thought until I saw them fighting one day.
"HEY! Guys, what are you playing at?!" I screamed pulling them apart. What had gotten into them?
"He started it. It's all his fault!" yelled Evan looking me dead in the eye. I looked at Zac with a quizzical look, trying to figure out what was happening between my two best friends.
"Seriously, what's happening guys?" I asked again. Still they didn't answer me and walked in different directions. I just stood in the spot that I'd been in well I pulled them apart, torn between the two and trying to figure out who I should go to first...

"Zac, what was that all about?" I asked, yet again, hoping this time to get some answers.
"Grace, it was nothing." He looked so downcast and sad. It broke my heart seeing him like that.
"It obviously wasn't 'nothing'!" I commented. I knew he was beginning to crack, he could never keep anything from me.
"Well, I kinda told Evan something he didn't like and he lashed out at me..." I looked at him, waiting for him to continue and when it looked like he wouldn't, I pressed him further.
"What did you say? It must've been something bad for him to behave like that."
"I told him that I'm in love with you." The way he said it made me laugh out loud. I thought he was joking, but when I looked at him and saw his hurt expression I suddenly knew that our easy friendship had just gotten a lot more complicated.
